Born in Paris, France, but lived in various countries ,most significantly Israel, France, Spain, Argentina, U.S.A & the Netherlands. After years of studying classical piano David switched to Guitar.  Later he decided to complete his formal studies at the ' Rubin Academy of Music ' in Jerusalem, Israel.
Besides his own projects, David is involved with many different groups, being much in demand as a sideman as well. He is involved in groups from straight-ahead jazz to eclectic formations, to Brasilian music and south-american folklore, to collaboration with modern dance projects, to brazilian music and more. David Golek's music has been also used for documentary movies and modern dance projects.

David Golek played concerts, among others with Benny Bailey, Ravi Coltrane, Lonnie Smith, Walter Blending, Wycliff Gordon, Ron Westray, Arnie Lawrence , Philip Harper, Dale Barlow, Michael Moore, Franck Amsallem, Dave Mitchell, Ferdinand Povel, John Ruocco, Anthony Cox, Eli degibri, Avishai Cohen, Jess Koren, Mamelo Gestenopolus, Benjamin Herman, Barend Middelhoff, Dmitry Shapko, Jasper Blom, Gerard Kleijn, Fleurine, Ana Beck, Jura Gomes, Natalio Sued, Nicoline Snaas, Hermine Deurloo, Odrey Shakir, Jimmy Omonga, Gijs Hendriks, Maria Jose Ortiz and many many more.
